It was finally Eleanor's last day as Mrs. Vance. She crossed off the final square on the calendar and tossed the entire thing into the wastebasket.

Just then, her phone pinged. She opened it to find a photo Sasha had sent a few minutes ago—it was the gold pocket watch Eleanor’s late grandmother had left her, her most cherished heirloom.

"Mrs. Vance, I saw this pocket watch in the apartment a few d
