I snapped my eyes open.

The sunlight was blinding. I was lying in a familiar bed.

A slight swelling sensation came from my abdomen.

No, I had been reborn.

Time had rewound two years, to the morning of the pack celebration.

Dominic had not yet thrown that necklace at me. Sasha had not yet revealed her fangs.

I touched my belly, feeling the faint fluctuation of life within.
